I fell in love the moment I stepped in. Amid clusters of bamboo and against a backdrop of the lush hills of Chaguaramas, lies a place that is not only good for the body but good for the soul! Upicktt introduces a farm to table approach to T&T, where customers can get to harvest their own food. How cool is that?

The farm sits on 50 acres of land and consists of various grow boxes and houses.

What’s available for picking?

There is a variety of vegetables/fruit that you can choose from, such as Melon-gen (Egg Plant), Jalapeno Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Pak Choi, Sweet Peppers, Chili Peppers, Pimento Peppers, Basil, Mint, Squash, Kale, Lettuce,Shadon Beni, Celery and an all-time favorite of mine PASSION-FRUIT.

Time to Start Picking!

I truly enjoyed every minute of it. Yasmin and Julie whom are farmers at the grounds, kindly assisted in showing me techniques for cutting and picking various produce, so next time I visit i could do it all on my own.

I got carried away my basket was full to the brim with green leafy vegetables.

Upick Café

After a day full of harvesting, I worked up an appetite. No worries at all. There is a café on site that prepares scrumptious reasonably priced breakfast and lunch dishes that incorporates the produce from the farm. It is a lovely place to bring family and friends to have early Sunday morning breakfast.

As we welcome the dry season with gleams of sunshine. It is definitely the perfect time to visit and harvest your very own basket of fresh vegetables.

Here’s to staying healthy all year long. Definitely my new favorite spot!

Tips when visiting UPickTT

1. Walk with a hat or sunglasses (optional) to protect your eyes from direct sun.

2. Wear closed toe shoes to avoid getting them dusty and dirty.

3. Stay Hydrated, always have water on hand.

4. Both cash and linx are welcomed, so you can purchase as many veggies and goodies as you like.

5. Picture perfect setting. Walk with your camera to take lots of photos.

6. Bring your reusable bags not only is it good for the environment, but they come in handy.

7. Have FUN!

Always remember,
