Angostura hosted its second Bitter Rivals competition with a GRILL-OFF on Sunday 5th November, at the Chinese Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Restaurants and home chefs were encouraged to create out of this world dishes using the star ingredient Angostura Aromatic and Orange Bitters. I felt as though I was literally in the Iron chef stadium on the food network. Chefs worked swiftly against a two hour timer to present two dishes a meat and seafood GRILLtastic meal, showcasing their best use of angostura bitters. Food is very symbolic to our culture, it is the ingredient that binds us together. So, the talent and flavours produced was no surprise. Us Trinbagonias love food and we know how to throw down. It was my first time attending, and I must say I had a very eventful evening with good food, good vibes and good people.
